DIANE'S ART WORK

After a 20 year hiatus from painting Campbell      has picked up her brushes and began painting again.  Inspired by her surroundings and other artists such as Delmas Howe, she has honed her painting talents.  She knows her subject matter intimately as she's been living in Truth or Consequences since 1952.  Lacking a formal college education in art, Diane has depended on workshops and private classes from professional artists to guide her style.  She considers herself to be a self-taught artist, (regarded as among the most vital and intriguing spheres within 20th-century art, the work of self-taught artists continues to elude firm categorization).  Not so with Campbell, she has identified her subject matter to natural landscapes and still-lifes and executes them with washes of azure, tan, and delicate blossom colors
